Barnstable High School's Emily Sturgis defeated Lisa Smalley in the second flight yesterday and helped lead the Red Raiders to a 5.5 - 0.5 win yesterday over Silver Lake at the Halifax Country Club. The win earned Mark Titus's girls (13-2) their third straight league title.

BHS Girls Golf Team Goes to 11-1

Since Mark Titus took over as head coach of the Barnstable High School girls varsity golf team, the team has gone 22-2-1, counting yesterday's 5-1 victory over rival Duxbury at the Wianno Club in Osterville. Larissa Brewster defeated Meg Wyrtzen (4-2), while her little sister Christina Brewster fell to Emma Keller in the first flight. In the second flight, Emily Sturgis downed Lindsay Sowa (3-2), while Heather Sprinkle defeated Colleen O'Connor (3-2). In the third flight, Barnstable's Krista Brown defeated Sophie Campanelli (5-3), followed by teammate Meredith Cook's win over Maria Varonki (3-2). The Barnstable girls are now 11-1.
